Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

“Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” starring Harrison Ford,
will be part of the 2011 Summer Film Series at the Alabama Theatre.

The Alabama Theatre Summer Film Series returns in June with a few familiar favorites and a bunch of new selections.

Saturday movies (in black) start at 7 p.m.; Sunday matinees (in blue) start at 2 p.m.

  • July 23: “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” (PG)
  • July 24: “The Long, Long Trailer” (not rated)
  • July 30: “Ghostbusters 2″ (PG)
  • July 31: “Roman Holiday” (not rated)
  • Aug. 6: “The Shining” (R)
  • Aug. 7: “The Sound of Music” (G)
  • Aug. 13: “Bonnie and Clyde” (R)
  • Aug. 14: “Viva Las Vegas” (not rated)

Children’s matinees will take place on most Saturdays starting at 2 p.m.

  • Aug. 20: “Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” (PG)

Tickets are $7, $6 for senior citizens and age 11 and younger. Parking is free in Central Parking lots in the vicinity and on the street.
