Organizers will collect canned goods to replenish local food banks that have been assisting survivors of the April 27 storms.

Hicks will join “American Idol” finalist Bo Bice on Tuesday for the Bama Rising benefit show at the BJCC Arena; that concert is nearly sold out with only $1,000 tickets left.

In addition, food trucks from Cantina, Dreamcakes and other eateries will be on site.

The free concert starts at 6 p.m. Sunday in Linn Park, downtown [map]. Attendees can bring lawn chairs.
